One person was killed and another injured Sunday when a motorcycle collided with a car on the Harbor (110) Freeway in South Los Angeles.
The crash was reported about 7:25 p.m. Sunday on the southbound Harbor Freeway north of Florence Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol.
One person was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Los Angeles Fire Department spokeswoman Margaret Stewart. The other person was taken by ambulance to a hospital in unknown condition.
The CHP’s online log indicated a woman was down in lanes, unconscious, and a motorcycle rider was standing near the center divider.
The CHP issued a SigAlert at 8:04 p.m., shutting down all southbound lanes for the crash investigation and cleanup.
