When Olivia Rodrigo sang “I hope you’re happy and healthy” in her hit song “Good For You,” she meant it.
One of her crew members revealed the generous perk the singer provides to make sure her team is just that.
Guitarist Daisy Spencer told “The StageLeft Podcast” that Rodrigo pays for therapy for her entire band and crew, both on and off tour. She said the singer made it accessible and free during her Guts World Tour, adding that it made a massive positive difference.
“Honestly, that was one of the coolest things that has ever happened on tour,” Spencer explained. “Like, seriously, one of the best things you can give to people is accessible free therapy, because it can get kind of expensive.”
“I have never had anything like that. And that reignited the importance of therapy to me because I had just kind of fallen off for so long, and then suddenly I had this free resource of incredible therapists, and I utilized the crap out of that,” she continued.
The musician called the “drivers license” singer “literally is the dreamiest boss of all time.”
Rodrigo has been a longtime advocate of mental health.
Back in 2021, she took to X, saying, “Can’t wait to tell my therapist that ppl like the song.”
Her father is also a family therapist.
