The search is on for Beyoncé’s unreleased music and the thief who stole it.
It happened on July 8, when the Atlanta Police Department received a call about a break-in of a rental vehicle at the Krog Street Market from Beyoncé’s choreographer, Christopher Grant, and her dancer, Diandre Blue.
Grant told police he parked his rented black Jeep Wagoneer in the area’s parking garage at around 8:09 p.m. He returned at 9:10 p.m. and found the trunk window had been damaged, and their two suitcases were missing.
“I went to a restaurant, but they stole my computers and everything, but it has a tracker on it,” Grant told a 911 dispatcher in recordings obtained by KTLA 5. “They have my computers, and it’s really, really important information in there. Like, I work with someone who’s like of a high status, and I really need my computer and everything.”
At the scene, the choreographer told police he had been “carrying some personal information” for the musician. That personal information included “hard drives for her upcoming show in Atlanta, hard drives that contained watermarked music, some unreleased music, footage plans for the show and past and future set list.”
Other items stolen included a laptop and Apple AirPods, which officers were able to track through pings via the FindMy app and locate the suspected getaway vehicle.
Investigators with the Atlanta Police Department’s Larceny from Auto Unit led the investigation and have subsequently secured an arrest warrant for a suspect, but a name hasn’t been released.
Grant and Blue were in town for Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter Tour, which took place at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium on July 10, 11, 13 and 14.
Queen Bey’s final stops of her tour are July 25 and 26 in Las Vegas.
