The Rancho Santa Fe home of longtime Scripps Health supporters Bill and Janie Rohn was transformed into a tropical paradise for the Scripps Spinoff Luau last month. The event raised $525,000 to support the oncology nutrition program at Scripps Cancer Center.
More than 140 Scripps supporters enjoyed Polynesian-themed entertainment and cuisine and heard personal stories about the key role that nutrition plays for cancer patients during treatment and recovery. Scripps Cancer Center’s oncology nutrition program provides patients with personalized nutritional guidance to increase their strength and resilience.
An additional $100,000 was raised at the luau to help Scripps acquire the latest radiation oncology equipment for patient care.
Sponsors for the 30th Spinoff included Ella and Han Helders, Brooke Koehler, and Susan and Steve Mollenkopf.
