A 60-year-old woman who died after a three-vehicle crash in the unincorporated community of Crest on Saturday has been identified by the Medical Examiner’s Office.
Marie Anderson died shortly after the Nissan Sentra she was driving west on Dehesa Road near Sloan Canyon Road reportedly crossed over the road’s solid, double-yellow lines and into oncoming traffic around 6:45 p.m., investigators said.
The car collided head-on with a Honda Pilot — driven by a 77-year-old woman — and then a Ford F-150 driven by a 42-year-old woman with another woman riding as a passenger, California Highway Patrol Officer Jasmine Lopez said. The crash caused the pickup to lose control and overturn on the road.
Anderson died before she could be taken to the hospital, according to investigators. The two other drivers and the pickup’s passenger suffered minor injuries and were taken to a hospital.
It is not known if drugs or alcohol were a factor in the crash, Lopez said.
The incident is under investigation.
