A crash involving a jackknifed semitrailer snarled commute traffic on the westbound side of the 91 Freeway in Yorba Linda.
YORBA LINDA, Calif. (KABC) — A crash involving a jackknifed semitrailer Monday morning snarled traffic on the westbound side of the 91 Freeway in Yorba Linda.
The crash was reported about 4:15 a.m. near the 241 Freeway interchange.
Whether anyone was seriously injured was unclear.
The big rig was initially blocking only two lanes, but all westbound lanes were later shut down as crews worked to clear the scene. As of 6::30 a.m., westbound drivers were slowly moving past the scene in a bottleneck as one lane was reopened.
Westbound traffic was backed up for miles as the morning commute got underway. The eastbound side of the freeway was not affected.
The cause of the collision was unknown.
