A person is dead after police say a customer inside a 7-Eleven in Lawndale shot and killed another customer on Sunday.
Deputies with the South Los Angeles Sheriff’s station responded to the 15000 block of Prairie Avenue at approximately 8:06 p.m. on Sunday after reports of shots fired.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to investigators, the victim was inside the store when the suspected gunman entered. The two were then engaged in an argument and one of them produced a gun and shot the other.
The suspected gunman fled and drove away while the victim ran to the back aisle of the store and collapsed, authorities said.
The investigation is ongoing. No further details were immediately available.
