Aaron Rodgers has gotten the better of his former mentor.
The Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback moved past his former teammate Brett Favre on Sunday with his 509th career regular season touchdown toss.
The latest score for the four-time NFL MVP went to DK Metcalf on a fade against the New England Patriots.
Rodgers, 41, joined the Steelers this offseason after following a similar career path to Favre with the Green Bay Packers and New York Jets.
Rodgers was Favre’s backup with the Packers for his first three seasons before the three-time MVP went to the Jets in 2008.
In his first 20 NFL seasons, Rodgers totaled 503 touchdowns. He had five touchdowns in the first two weeks of 2025 before his sixth score on Sunday put him ahead of Favre.
It took Rodgers 251 regular season games to reach this mark, compared to 302 for Favre. Tom Brady (649 touchdowns), Drew Brees (571) and Peyton Manning (539) are now the only names above Rodgers.
