A person was struck and killed Tuesday morning on the 110 Freeway south of downtown Los Angeles.
California Highway Patrol officers responded to the scene near Exposition Boulevard after a report of someone running across the freeway. The man, who was struck by at least one vehicle just before 5 a.m., died at the scene.
Debris was scattered across lanes. Officers questioned driver who might have been involved in the crash.
Details about why the man was on the freeway and his identity were not immediately available.
All northbound lanes were closed early Tuesday. The Sigalert was canceled at about 7:30 a.m.
