
Brian C. Tietje, an expert in branding and consumer behavior has taken over as dean of the University of San Diego’s Knauss School of Business, which is widely known for its programs in entrepreneurship and real state.
Tietje was recruited from Texas A&M University Corpus Christi, where he was dean of the College of Business for four years.
He previously served as a professor of marketing and as associate dean of business at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.
USD’s business program has grown and diversified in recent years, largely with the opening of a 120,000-square-foot business center in 2022. About 2,600 of the university’s 9,700 total students are studying business.
