Comedian Matt Rife and YouTuber Elton Castee are making another push to buy “The Conjuring” house in Rhode Island after they recently purchased the Connecticut home of famed paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren.

Castee said he and Rife have tried to purchase the property in the past. The men sent a certified offer letter to current owner Jacqueline Nuñez last month.

“It kind of breaks our heart to see it like this in the current state, and we just would really love to make this a place where people can experience it from all over the world,” Castee recently told Nexstar’s WPRI.

Paranormal investigators once flocked to the Burrillville property, but the business was shut down after the Burrillville Town Council decided not to renew the owner’s entertainment license last year, preventing her from hosting tours and overnight visits.

Nuñez could not be reached for a comment about the offer.

Rife said it’s a dream of his to own the property with his friend.

“As a fan of the paranormal, film, and the history of the property and the land it sits on, it’d be an honor to help preserve its beauty,” Rife said in a statement.

Castee explained that both he and Rife have deep-rooted memories of the home: About a year ago, the two friends shot a YouTube video inside “The Conjuring” house, which is where Rife first met Dan Rivera, the handler of the supposedly haunted Annabelle doll.

Months later, Castee, Rife, Rivera, and another friend were in the process of purchasing the Warrens’ Monroe, Connecticut, home when Rivera suddenly died in July.

“That would be the only time Matt and Dan would meet, even though we were all going to become partners together at the Warren House,” Castee said.

Over the weekend, Rife confirmed that he and Castee had purchased the Warren home and Occult Museum.

Castee and Rife plan to host overnight stays at the Warrens’ Connecticut property and are looking to provide investigational equipment for their guests to use. Castee and Rife are also the legal guardians of the property’s haunted museum, which is home to 750 paranormal artifacts, including the Annabelle doll.

Guests will also have access to the museum, according to Castee.

In the meantime, Rife said, “The Conjuring” house is one of the most important staples of the paranormal world.

“I know we’d take great care of it and open its doors to all who wish to learn, explore and experience the haunted history of the house,” he said.
