The driver of a stolen car that crashed Friday morning at the end of a chase near Los Angeles International Airport was found hiding in bushes near a freeway exit ramp.
The chase began in the South Los Angeles area after a report of a stolen vehicle. The Buick sedan crashed off Sepulveda Boulevard near LAX and ended up in an area with bushes inside a circular 105 Freeway exit ramp.
After a search, the driver was found hiding in the bushes and taken into custody. Details about the person’s identity and the car theft were not immediately available.
Lanes were closed for the investigation, backing up traffic near the airport.
