The Encinitas Union School District (EUSD) hosted its 26th annual Extended School Year (ESY) Summer Olympics on July 17 at Ocean Knoll Elementary School. The event brings together approximately 75 students from across the district who have been participating in EUSD’s Extended School Year program, according to a news release.
The event activities are adapted to accommodate a range of abilities, creating an inclusive environment where every student is encouraged to participate and shine. Examples of events include beanbag shot put, soccer dribbling, parachute games, obstacle courses, field hockey, and other Olympic-themed games. The event also includes a Parade of Athletes.
