A clothing store in Hollywood is temporarily closed after a group of burglars stole a large amount of merchandise months after the business’ Pacific Palisades location was destroyed in the Palisades Fire.

Surveillance video from Magoo’s LA, which sells sneakers and streetwear, showed three burglars broke in through a window to grab piles of clothing from the store while an accomplice was on the lookout outside the store.

The burglary took place more than six months after the Palisades Fire destroyed the store’s previous location on Swarthmore Avenue in Pacific Palisades.

“It just seems like we can’t catch a break this year,” Jacob Maged, owner of Magoo’s LA said on social media. “It breaks my heart to say that my store was broken into and robbed, unfortunately we will be closed for the foreseeable future.”

Maged told NBC Los Angeles that the burglars appeared to know where to go inside the store to make away with the most valuable items.

“They know the exact layout of the store,” the owner said. “They were grabbing very specific racks that they cleared and certain items, brands.”

As the criminals appeared to have used signal jams to the alarm system, Maged urged other business owners to step up their security measures.

“It’s always better to be over protected than under protected as I’ve learned.”

Despite a series of unthinkable hardships, Maged said he’s determined to stay open.

“No fire, tsunami, robbery, tornado, whatever you want to throw at me, we will always find a way to come back,” he said. “This is definitely not the end.

It was not immediately clear how much financial damage the business suffered.
