“Reading Rainbow,” the renowned PBS children’s educational program, is returning after nearly 20 years with new episodes on KidZuko, a YouTube channel operated by Sony Pictures Television.

Mychal Threets will serve as the show’s new host. He’s a former librarian from Northern California who went viral in recent years for sharing daily interactions at his job.

Beloved actor LeVar Burton previously hosted the show from it’s premiere in 1983 to its conclusion in 2006. Threets credits Burton for his love of literature.

The new show will feature guest stars like “The Bear” actor Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Chrissy Teigen, John Legend and more.

The first episode debuts on Oct. 4 at 7:00 a.m. with new episodes out through the end of the month.
