Beloved Pixar and Disney classic “Toy Story” is heading back to the big screen.
The first-ever fully computer-animated feature film, originally released in 1995, will be re-released in theaters starting Sept. 12, marking its 30th anniversary, the studio announced Thursday.
The story centers on Woody, a cowboy doll voiced by Tom Hanks, who becomes jealous when a flashy new space ranger toy, Buzz Lightyear, voiced by Tim Allen, becomes their owner Andy’s new favorite.
Woody and Buzz’s rivalry turns into an unlikely friendship when they must work together to reunite with Andy when they get separated.
Disney has often re-released other classic movies as part of anniversary celebrations.
The next installment in the “Toy Story” franchise is slated to hit theaters on June 19, 2026.
