A Pasadena man was arrested after being caught on security video while breaking into Little League facilities and stealing valuable items, the Pasadena Police Department said Thursday.
Freddy Solario Jr., 27, is accused of burglarizing Allendale Park’s Little League facilities on Marengo Avenue and stealing over $4,000 of equipment last week.
Little League officials told NBC Los Angeles this week that the man did not take any baseball gear but rather grabbed power tools and other more valuable items.
“(He took) stuff that was easy to steal and sell for a quick buck,” Kevin Kohorst with the Pasadena Southwest Little League said.
Surveillance video footage clearly showed Solario in a baseball cap and dark-colored jacket going through items inside a storage area.
Solario has a criminal history, according to Pasadena police.
The Pasadena District Attorney’s Office is reviewing the case before officially charging Solario.
